Improve traffic to your blog 25 percent in a month by diversifying your readership!!

Most of you are blogging for money. When a person invests for their future, they don’t just invest in one fund, they diversify their interests. That’s a smart strategy in today’s market and it’s just as smart to invest your time to develop several different sources of traffic to your blog! Let’s discuss this, bloggers! Read on as I show you how to increase the readership on your blog by 20 percent, simply by diversifying your blog’s traffic sources!!

Try not to obsess over Google. Traffic from search engines is fine. Every blogger should develop and execute a well-thought-out strategy to optimize their blog for the search engines. Just don’t obsess too much over SEO-derived traffic. You should be actively involved in cultivating several other sources of traffic.

Comment on other blogs! Take the time to carefully READ the blog that you are going to comment on. Get a feel not only for the general tone of the blog you are reading, but also for that blog’s audience! Remember that this is NOT your blog; this is someone else’s blog. When you comment on another blog, you are in effect a guest blogger of sorts. Make the most of this opportunity!! Read the blog first, then carefully comment. Comment substantively (add something to the conversation) and not only will you receive traffic back to your blog, you may find that the blog author will ask you to post on their blog!!

Read and comment on blogs related to your niche! There is much to be gained by reading and commenting on blogs outside your niche. You will learn new things, and as a result of that learning process you will develop new topics to blog about. You’ll meet new people and develop new peer relationships that will bear fruit down the road! You will attract new readers and as they become engrossed and riveted to your dazzling articles, they will act as new small and large communications channels for your brand, creating buzz in the blogosphere for you and bring even more readers to your blog.

Read, observe and post on forums. I’ve mentioned this in an earlier post, but I’m gonna bring it up again: Post on forums! Join, read, observe, and post on not only forums associated directly with your brand, but also with forums whose readers would stand to benefit from and would be interested in what you have to say. For example: To all you bloggers out there, Hit the Writing forums! Join them, carefully read them and observe the posters, watch how they interact, be sure to read the rules!!!, and then ease yourself into the conversation! You will make new friends, you will develop new peer relationships, and you’ll receive more traffic back to your blog!!

Help others on the Internet whenever you have a chance!! If an opportunity presents itself, do help out another person on the forums or on a blog!! If you help another person, I guarantee you that person will check out your blog. Plus, it feels great to help out another blogger, commenter or fellow poster on a forum! If that person just happens to have access to a big communications channel……..
